- Born in Mali Iđoš, on 26 February 1947. Graduated in 1970, at the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad, obtained his master’s degree in 1973 at the Faculty of Sciences in Belgrade, obtained his doctoral degree in 1975, at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad.

**Areas of Research**** **

Measure theory (semigroup-valued measures; non-additive set functions), fuzzy systems (aggregation operators; decision making theory; applications), functional analysis (uniform boundedness, closed-graph theorem, convergence), partial differential equations. He is the author of 240 published scientific papers and 15 textbooks. He was a Visiting Professor at the Universities of Linz, Rome, Napels, Toulouse, Zurich, Potenza, Foligno, and thought courses upon invitation at other Universities. He is the recipient of the 2003 October Award of the City of Novi Sad for his scientific work. He has 700 citations.
